Shawn Beaseley - "The Raeford Rocket"

Shawn Beasley was born on December 1st, 1973, and was destined to race. Shawn started his racing career at the age of 13 in go karts. In 1994, he won a WKA (World Karting Association) National Championship. The World Karting Association is the nation's premiere kart racing sanctioning body.

After his success racing karts, Shawn moved to racing open wheel modifieds. He repeated the success he had in karts by winning over 60 feature events in the open wheel division. Shawn was ready for another change, dirt late model racing.

Shawn made the move to late model racing in 2001. His first late model victory came at Carolina Speedway in Lake View, SC. His achievements include winning the Crazy 8 title in 2004 by 10 points over Ray Tucker and the track championship in 2006 at Fayetteville Motor Speedway. Shawn currently has over 40 feature wins. He looks to pick up more victories in 2008 as he battles for the titles at Dublin Motor Speedway in Dublin, NC and Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, NC.

When Shawn isn't racing, he enjoys spending time with his daughter and son, Mackenzie (6) and Chason (4). Shawn's girlfriend Debra is a pillar of support both on and off the track.
